| MANUSCRIPT AND SUBMISSION DETAILS (INCLUDING
CONTACTS & GUIDELINES) |
| Manuscript Details: Payment Structure: Marketing and Selling: Detailed Contacts: Submission Timing: |
1. Which new concepts are you most open to;
which do you need? 2. Do you require Exclusive submissions? If so, give period and terms. 3. State how author can get (or download) a detailed guide to manuscripts. 4. Explain details of each submission category (e.g. in table above). 5. List contacts for initial manuscript submissions (e.g. in table above) and then separate contacts to follow through on manuscript progress. Specify your general terms -- advance payments, royalties, do you buyout, do you publish on consignment, specify author rights and percentages (remember there are no agent fees in any transactions via our site), do you sub-consign, and also be clear on exclusivity of MSs, submissions, texts vs. presentation, etc. State how you will promote the book, how you advertise, what is the instant circulation rating; also specify if you give a performance guarantee. List the individual contacts that an author can use to submit, check on, and track the progress of the manuscript. Also state if an already published book is handled differently than a raw manuscript. (NOTE: It is not adequate to merely send authors to a website where they fill out an impersonal "submission" form that is summarily ignored by your company. This is part of the antagonistic "old model" of publishing that has no part on our Publishers.Net site. Be open to authors if you want their best works!) Approval duration, total time to publishing, time to first printing, time to first sales, and time to first royalties. Also specify volume factors if you publish or sell on demand -- and what percentage or schedule the author gets. |

| DETAILED INFORMATION ON SPECIAL CATEGORIES
ABOVE FOR SUBMISSIONS |
| Main Submissions: Secondary Interest: Additional Information: |
Give the author a description of the hottest
fields for new submissions. Give them enough
narrative detail here so as to avoid submitting
inappropriate content. Many good writers
can write TO the content you want. Give them
your preferences, and you may pull off some
really good impromptu works. List other categories you are interested in, but specify what the author has to do to get an exceptional MS in these categories. Suggest a form/response strategy where you propose an idea, they tell you what they can contribute to it, and you tell them if that is something you would be interested in. Give any other detailed information not listed in the table or categories above. Be specific and complete -- don't rely on a standard form to impart uncertainty. |

| Links to Your Site(s): | At the bottom of your page you can post links
to specific data on your site(s). But please don't give only those links and no detailed information on this page. EVERY large publisher's website is a total put-off for authors, or antagonistic or condescending toward them, as if the publisher is "above" the author. WRONG! Authors are your bread and butter. You can be anatagonistic as you want on your own site, but please don't carry it over to ours. This site is for one-on-one communication with competent authors who can deliver the "goods" you want. Talk to them here, and use your links only to supplement the data given here. |
